Hello. I own and operate a small business. The business has been in operation since December 1996.
My primary focus is Internet Services for Small Business and Soloists. I manage web sites, web servers, and e-mail servers. I do web-to-database application development in the Microsoft ASP (Active Server Pages) and ASP.Net space. I also provide on-site consulting for a few select clients.
I consider myself a silent partner in my clients success. My clients are very dependent on their e-mail communication with their customers.
My clients are all over the United States. Their business focus is also all over the map. A few are in very different and interesting topic areas.
Some of my clients I have never met in person. I have only talked to them via e-mail or on the phone. A few are good friends who asked me to manage their web site and e-mail.
All of my clients were sent to me as referrals or they met me at a meeting, seminar, conference or a public speaking venue. I do a good amount of public speaking on topics not only technical ( Internet and Information Technology ) but also outside of tech ( travel, history, culture, art, architecture ).
I started my IT career as a programmer. Moved on to network and system management. I have been a principal in a couple of Internet-related business start-ups.
For several years some of my clients and friends have suggested I write tech articles, a newsletter or even books. When Web Logs ( Blogs ) started to take off the suggestions grew louder. Thus I have decided to focus writing about all things tech here at TechSurvey.com.
